Voice agents and a hybrid healthcare model are the future!
Hey everyone,
It has been a busy month for our team, and I am incredibly proud to share two new additions to our portfolio. These companies represent a shift in how we think about healthcare: moving away from episodic visits and toward continuous, data-driven, and high-efficacy care.
Below is a look at our latest partners and a quick peek into why we are doubling down on Voice Agents and Hybrid Delivery models for the next three years.
New Investment: Meru Health (Hybrid AI-Enhanced Care)
We are officially in with Meru Health. In a world where "mental health access" is the buzzword, Meru is focusing on the "mental health outcome."
They have built a 12-week digital therapeutic program that acts as a gold standard for depression, anxiety, and burnout. What we love about this team (Kristian, Riku, and Henri) is that they are not trying to replace the therapist: they are trying to supercharge them. Their model combines licensed clinicians with biofeedback technology to treat the physical and mental sides of stress simultaneously.
With contracts covering over 60 million lives, Meru is proving that when you align incentives with patient health rather than just the number of visits, everyone wins.
New Investment: Amplifier Health (Voice AI Diagnostics)
Our second investment is in Amplifier Health. Led by Amit Mehta, Jeremy Barber, and Peh Keong, this team is doing something that feels like the future. They have built a Large Acoustic Model that uses your voice as a diagnostic tool.
Instead of analyzing your words, they analyze the physical properties of your sound. With just 10 seconds of speech, their AI can detect indicators for over 35 conditions (including respiratory and neurodegenerative issues) with incredible accuracy. Because this works over a standard phone call, it is one of the most accessible and equitable diagnostic tools we have ever seen. They are already running pilots with eight of the world's leading research institutes and academic centers to validate this across millions of patient interactions.
The Thesis: Looking Ahead to 2029
These two investments are not random; they are the first pillars of our core thesis for the next three years. We believe the biggest venture opportunities in healthtech will live in the intersection of Voice Agents and Hybrid Care Delivery.
1. The Rise of Voice Agents
The next three years will see "Voice-as-a-Diagnostic" move from research labs to the front lines of care. We expect voice agents to become the primary interface for patient triage, mental health check-ins, and chronic condition monitoring. The friction is zero: there are no apps to download or hardware to buy. If you can talk, you can be diagnosed.
2. The Hybrid AI-Enhanced Clinician Model
Purely automated AI care often lacks the trust and nuanced judgment of a human, while purely human care is too expensive to scale. The "Hybrid" model is the winner. In this world, AI handles the heavy lifting of data collection, biofeedback monitoring, and routine follow-ups, which frees up the clinician to focus on the high-value, human-centric decisions.
Why This Wins
This model addresses the two biggest pain points in healthcare today:
Access: Voice agents provide a 24/7 front door to care at a cost of cents, not dollars.
Efficacy: AI-enhanced clinicians have better data, fewer administrative burdens, and more time to focus on actual recovery.
We are actively looking for more founders building at this intersection. If you are working on the next generation of acoustic biomarkers or hybrid care platforms, we would love to talk.
